Tower28 Beauty SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation is a sunscreen and foundation combined. A two in one product like this is perfect when you don’t want to wear a full face of makeup but want more coverage than a tinted moisturizer while keeping your skin protected from the sun.
It can be worn as a daily foundation or alone to even out your skin tone. Key ingredients includes non-nano zinc oxide 12.6% to protect UVA/UVB damage. Plus a handful of skincare benefits like, prickly pear, aloe vera, and white sage which help repair and soothe skin.
Formula is fragrance-free, alcohol-free, non-greasy, non-white-cast, and non-oxidizing. Vegan. Gluten-free. Cruelty-free. Reef Safe SPF. It also has the National Eczema Association’s approval.
Full ingredient list: Zinc oxide, 12.6%, Water/Aqua/Eau, Isononyl Isononanoate, C9-12 Alkane, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Mica, Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Isostearic Acid, Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyhydroxystearate, Jojoba Esters, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Phytate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Centella Asiatica Extract, Opuntia Tuna Fruit, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Extract, May Contain (+/-): Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
SunnyDays SPF30 is packaged in a 1oz / 30mL squeeze tube with pointed tip for precise application when you are drawing lines on your face. There is no sunscreen scent which is great. I can blend this out easily with fingers, makeup brush, or beauty blender sponge. It is sheer to medium coverage at best.
Fingers are the best for the most coverage. Formula is very light and airy which makes a fast even application. I apply a thinner layer to smile lines and corners of the nose as I generally experience creasing during the day. It gives a very radiant dewy finish right after application but less shine once product settles.
Makes my skin tone look more even and looks like skin without it looking like I applied sunscreen. It doesn’t separate or get greasy throughout the day which is a plus. I may use a sponge to pat onto corners of nose and smile lines to flatten out a bit of creasing which is normal even when wearing regular foundation.
Overall, I was impressed by the formula and coverage. I love using this on the weekends in place of foundation/concealer just to give more color to my face. Would definitely get a lighter color since my vacation tan is pretty much gone now. I highly recommend this if you are looking for an in between tinted + foundation formula.
