Tatcha The Indigo Cream Soothing Skin Protectant is a life savior for those who have extra sensitive skin. When the weather gets too hot or too cold I get dry skin and eczema patches creep up unexpectedly. It is not a magic cream that will make my eczema or dry skin go away but it does an amazing job at soothing, making skin feel less tight and flakey. That means no urges to scratch and skin actually has time to repair itself.
I use this mainly at night and dab sparingly to dry eczema patches right after I shower. The texture is super rich, thick, and creamy. I have other thick creams that I also use on rotation (i.e First Aid Beauty, Aquaphor, Eucerin) for dry skin however I tend to grab this most of the time when I need serious eczema relief. This cream melts right into my skin and feels so gratifying.
I have been using the indigo cream quite a bit this winter due to outdoor cold winter air and dry heat from indoor heaters. This feels very hydrating without making skin greasy. It really makes a difference in skin texture with each use. Skin feels less irritated, less red, and the cracks in the dry patches heal up.
My skin adores this cream and the clean ingredients. The hero ingredient is the natural japanese indigo which is known for soothing and restoring skin texture. Along with colloidal oatmeal, sophora japonica, tatcha hadasei-3 which provide hydration and boost skin radiance. There is no coloring in this cream and it is fragrance free.
The price is a bit ridiculous but I swear this cream works on my dry eczema patches. That skin relief I get is priceless even if my wallet is crying at me. If you have sensitive prone skin or have eczema you know what I mean. I do wish for Tatcha to think about making their packaging more sustainable. The jars are beautiful but very plastic bulky. Less plastic and more glass would be nice.
Tatcha The Indigo Cream is available at Sephora and Tatcha.
