STILA GLITTER ON THE GO LIQUID EYE SHADOW SET

I have been using Stila eyeshadows for a long time in my makeup routine. When Stila launched their On The Go Liquid Eye Shadow Set, I was very curious about the formula. I love shimmers and glitters on my eyes, but always dreaded the fall outs throughout the day. Applying shimmers to my eyes was always messy and chaotic. Loose pigments would spill everywhere and sometimes the product would not stick to my eyelids without wearing a eye primer that would specially allow shimmers to stick to it. These liquid eye shadows are completely hassle free and super easy to apply. For the price of 1 full size, you get 3 gorgeous shades which I picked up during the Sephora VIB sale.

What is it

The packaging of these mini tubes are super cute!! Love how the glitters show thru the tube and sparkle. Looking at all 3 shades side by side, they compliment each other in the silver, gold, rose gold theme. No more spilling or having to use tacky eye primers since the product is in a tube/wand. This makes it very travel friendly.

The doe foot applicator is quite large. I think it could be shorter since this is a mini tube. The applicator pulls out too much product. If I were to swipe this directly on to my eyelids, this would deposit way more product than I need. To not waste product, I dab my finger onto the doe foot and then tap onto eyes. For hygienic reasons, I do not want to double dip the applicator onto my eyelids and then back into the tube. This is to avoid contamination, as I may have an eye primer on or other shadows already on my eyes.

After I have my daily eye primer on, I dab the liquid eye shadow onto my lids in a half moon motion. I get a lot of pigment with just one swipe and it spreads easily and evenly. It goes on wet which is why I use my fingers to apply and blend out. I do one thin layer and then go back to apply more if needed. It dries fairly quickly and then I can blend out the outer edges. I get absolutely no creasing since I have applied a thin layer. I did try applying with a brush and did not like the effect. I felt the brush was moving the glitter off my eyes. Using my fingers to apply looked much better and product pretty much stays where I put it.

This feels very light weight without the chunky glitter dry feeling. They long wearing and do not crease. Even after 8 hours at work, it still looks just as good as when I applied it in the morning. Taking it off is quick and easy. I just use some eye makeup remover and gently swipe. No tugging needed.

Overall, I am very surprised at how easy it was to apply. These shades are simply gorgeous and buildable from subtle to very shimmery. I find myself using Kitten Karma more often than I should when I am short on time and in a hurry to get out of the house. I have received a lot of compliments from stranger and at work on my makeup just because the shimmer is so eye catching.
