Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and Coco Cabana Body cream are my year round go body creams. I’ve been using this brand for the last several years and still love it. I’m completely obsessed with the bum bum cream scent more so than coco cabana. I typically like unscented skincare products but for body I actually do not mind if the product is scented. Just note if you are sensitive to fragrance both of these heavily scented.

I adore the packaging of these creams. Nice wide mouth sturdy tubs with plenty of space to dip fingers or spatula into. I have purchased these in the full sizes, mini sizes, and sometimes gotten the deluxe sample sizes free. I like to travel with the mini or deluxe sizes. I reuse these little tubs for travel by refilling product from the full size tubs.

Both the bum bum and coco cabana are hydrating and super moisturizing. Fast absorbing and does not leave behind any greasy feeling. I’ve used it on arms, body, and legs where I need moisturizing. Leaves my skin soft and does not stick to my clothes. So now let me speak to each one individually.

Brazilian bum bum cream has a warm, salted caramel, pIstachio, vanilla scent. I am literally addicted to this scent. Even after a few hours of wear the scent faintly lingers. This cream has a luxuriously thick creamy texture. To make the cream spread easily, I dot the product onto body and use both hands to massage it in instead of putting a blob of cream to one area and trying to rub it outwards. I love using this in the winter to prevent dry cracked skin and in the summer for dry sun exposed skin.

Coco cabana body cream has a soft coconut cream, tropical orchid, toasted praline scent. I prefer the bum bum cream scent more over this sweet coconut scent. The scent is not long lasting on this one. This has a gel cream texture. It is an oil in body cream that is oil and water based, think of it like a water cream moisturizer for your body. It feels very light weight on skin and not as heavy as bum bum cream. The lighter consistency makes it perfect for warm to humid weather use.

I have repurchased jars of these countless times and in travel sizes as well. They are like a paradise summer in a bottle. I tend to buy more bum bum over coco cabana because I really love the bum bum scent. The price point can be expensive so this cream is definitely a splurge item that you want to indulge in as there are more affordable body creams similar to this on the market for less.
