Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is a weightless long-wearing liquid blush that builds and blends beautifully for a soft flush of color. I’m typically a powder blush girl but I decided to try Selena Gomez products when she first launched her collection and the liquid blushes were the first on my list. Let me tell you, this totally changed my perception of liquid blushes. This review is definitely long overdue!
Some of the worst experiences I’ve encountered in the past with other brands were lack of pigmentation, formula was too runny, too messy to apply to skin, hard to blend out over foundation. What I really like about the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is the formula layers well over foundation and powders without disturbing anything underneath and melts into skin giving me that skin-like finish without looking cakey.

Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is packaged in a 0.25 oz/ 7.5 mL plastic tube with a generously sized doe-foot applicator. This does not have any scent that I could smell which is great. Available in 7 dewy finishes and 4 matte finishes. For this review I have shades Happy and Joy both in the dewy finish.
Bliss – nude pink (matte)
Love – terracotta (matte)
Grace – bright rose mauve (matte)
Faith – deep berry (matte)
Joy – muted peach (dewy)
Happy – cool pink (dewy)
Lucky – hot pink (dewy)
Grateful – true red (dewy)
Hope – nude mauve (dewy)
Encourage – soft neutral pink (dewy)
Believe – true mauve (dewy)
Formula is actually a liquid cream that is thicker than water consistency so definitely no spilling or messy drips. This applicator can pull out too much product at times which I can just scrap against the inside of the bottle to remove excess. I was very impressed how pigmented these colors were. After the first use, I realized that less was better since these were very buildable if I wanted more opacity.
1 to 2 tiny dots on each cheek gave me the perfect flush of color and glow. With the use of a brush to blend, this melted right into my skin. Liquid dries down to a silky powder finish that has a skin-like finish and not a chalky powdery finish. It never once removed any of my foundation or bronzer underneath it which impressed me the most. I use her Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in shade Mesmerize for highlight.
Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is long-wearing and stays on where I put it. Even when I blot my face during the day this blush is just as vibrant and still has that skin-like finish on my cheeks. Both the pink and peach shades work well on my light skin tone. If you are short on time you can use your fingers to blend over cheeks and also across eyelids and lips for a wash of color. A good investment on a multi-tasking product like this.
