Pyunkang Yul Nutrition Cream is a high quality nutrient-rich face cream that delivers intense hydration, anti-aging, and revitalizes dull skin. If you have been following my blog and instagram, you know I am a big fan of PYK, a south Korean skincare brand. I love their apothecary glass packaging, recyclable boxes, cruelty-free, and use of traditional Korean herbs in their formulations.
Just like the rest of their skincare products, this cream is formulated without any coloring, fragrance, or additives. In my opinion less is more, I don’t feel a product needs a ton of ingredients in order for it to be effective. This cream has a minimal list of carefully selected ingredients combined for optimal effectiveness.
The highest concentration of ingredient is astragalus membranaceus root extract (aka milk vetch). It is known for reinforcing skin properties, improve elasticity, and anti-inflammatory. As well as fatty acids from shea butter and macadamia nut oil.
The appearance and texture of this cream is luxurious with an airy feel. It is white, thick, and glossy looking. I can barely detect any scent. After cleansing, toning, I will use the included spatula and scoop out a dollop. I would much rather preferred this to come in pump form. Applies easily to skin with quite a bit of slip so there is no tugging to skin. Give the cream a few minutes to sink in.
Makes my skin feel soft and smooth and I am unable to detect any dry patches typically around nose and chin areas. It locks in moisture as I sleep and I wake up with fresh plump skin. This jar will last for a long time since this cream has a very rich texture. I prefer using richer creams like this during the cold winters.
When my skin needs a break from testing too much skincare products and suffers a nasty reaction, this moisturizer alone helps to bring skin back to a healthy balance. When skin is irritated I want to keep the number of products to a minimum 1 to 2 products at most until skin has recovered. This moisturizer is on the mild side without all the fancy ingredients which is exactly what I need to use on irritated skin.
It’s my favorite moisturizer in the entire Pyunkang Yul skincare line. Deeply nourishing with a short list of clean ingredients. I recommend it as the perfect cream for dry, sensitive, troubled skin with redness. Suitable for day/evening use if your skin is on the drier side and evening use if you have combination to oily skin.
