Pixi Vitamin C Serum is gentle on sensitive skin like mines. I like including vitamin c in my skincare routine because of its ability to regenerate skin. It helps to promote collagen production, boost radiance, smooths skin texture, and hydrates skin. The key ingredients in this serum include ferulic acid, vitamin c, aloe vera, retinol, and multiple fruit extracts.

This serum has a watery like consistency which absorbs into skin quickly. Hydrates skin nicely without any oily residue. The brightening effect is only temporary after application but does help with evening out my skin tone. Haven’t really seen much change in lightening dark spots. Will have to use longer to see progress.

It has a deep yellowish color and light citrusy scent. Normally if the color changes to a dark yellow to brownish color it means the product has oxidized, basically expired but in this case I can’t really tell. This bottle has only been open for a few months and stored away from direct sunlight.

This is gentle enough to apply both morning and night. I apply vitamin c serums maybe 2-3 times a week at night. While this is great in preventative measures against anti-aging, I generally rotate this serum among other different serums that I use regularly to target different skin concerns as well as to not have my skin become sensitized to one particular product.

I have not experienced any skin irritations from using this serum. It is possible that there is low % of vitamin c. I know when I have used other brands containing higher concentrations of vitamin c, my skin becomes irritated hence I have to dilute them by mixing the serum with a moisturizer before applying directly to face.

Overall, this vitamin c serum is fairly simple and easy to include into any skincare routine. Again, not sure what % of vitamin c since it is not disclosed. If you are looking for something that is not strong, this one fits the bill. It does a good job at evening skin tone and hydrating. It is much more affordable than the more popular serums by Drunk Elephant and Ole Henriksen.
