Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 is a hair treatment sold mainly in salons, until earlier this year available at Sephora. If you frequently subject your hair to bleaching, coloring, and use of curling irons like me, you are going to want to incorporate a hair treatment in your hair routine. In between my salon visits, this at home treatment contains the same active ingredients found in all of their professional products which help strengthen dry damaged hair. I can purchase this at my salon or at my local Sephora. I am amazed that I can achieve the same salon results at home doing it myself.

Olaplex No 3 comes in a minimalistic easy to use plastic bottle. I have a thing for clean simple white aesthetic packaging and this looks pretty. Product has a creamy soft texture which makes it super easy to apply directly onto hair. It’s pretty thick and will not drip out of my hair. Plus, it smells nice.
On clean dry hair or slightly damp hair, I typically use a nickel to quarter size amount of product on my bleached colored strands and on frizzy dry ends. My hair literally drinks this up as I massage the product in. I use this once a week and leave it on for about 1 hour before washing it out. You can leave this on overnight and wash out in the morning if you feel your hair is severely damaged. During the week I will use other hair masks/oils in between, but I use Olaplex specifically as my main hair treatment. If you have long hair and all of it is colored treated, you may need to use half of the bottle to completely saturate which will leave you with one more use next time.
After air dry, my hair is revitalized, soft, and back to life! It’s that same feeling I get when I leave my salon. My hair looked good for a few days and behaved itself, which included daily washing with shampoo. After that, hair begins to return back to its original frizzy state. Using this once a week as a hair treatment will correct that problem and over time help strengthen the bonds in my hair.
Overall, I was impressed at how Olaplex 3 transformed my hair. It left my hair feeling soft and healthy. The results are temporary, after a few days hair needs maintenance again. Thankfully, this product is very easy to use and I can control how long I want the product to sit in my hair for the desired results. It really did improve the texture of my hair. For that reason, I only use this on parts of my hair that I feel are damaged or could use some help. I get about 10 uses from this bottle using only on my bleached strands. This bottle is pretty small for $28USD, but I do think it is worth it because my hair is getting healthier.
