If you have been following my blog, you know how I love mini size eyeshadow palettes. I previously reviewed the mini size Natasha Denona Sunset Palette which I really liked. I could never justify buying her full size palettes despite all the good things I’ve heard. These mini palettes give me the option to try and they are super travel friendly without taking much space. I picked up these the nude and star mini’s at the Sephora VIB sale last year.

Just like the mini Sunset Palette, both the mini Star and mini Nude come in a sleek plastic 5-pan case with a clear lid. With the clear cover I can easily see the shades. The lid opens and closely tightly just on the plastic hinges alone. I have not experienced the lid opening on its own in my bag. The back of the case displays the shades names.
The mini Nude eyeshadow palette shades: Bronzage (chroma crystal light copper), Quoin (gold), Lumino (pearl), Sienna (matte terra-cotta), Soil (medium transition nude).
The mini Star eyeshadow palette shades: Orion (green-brown duo-chrome), Atik (medium transition nude matte), Bellatrix (nude metallic), Earth (dark brown matte), Cosmo (sparkling golden olive). All 5 shades are existing shades from the full-size Star Palette.
The pigmentation in both palettes are amazing. The matte shades are creamy and have a soft texture. The pigmentation is opaque and you can build it up if you want to deepen the shade. They have a true matte finish. Easy to blend out with a brush without the colors looking all muddled up.
The shimmer shades are buttery and the pigmentation is semi-opaque. These have a foil metallic finish. These shades went on better when using my ring finger. Using a brush will work just as well but I found that I had to work it in to get the desired pigmentation with the mini Star palette.
The shades within each palette are blendable and are complimentary to each other. I usually use an eye primer before eyeshadow application to ensure everything stays put. These shadows are long lasting and have gone thru an entire work day without any creasing or smudging.
Both of these mini palettes lean on the neutral side and the shades look very different on skin vs pan. I am able to get a few looks from each of these. Even when the shades are used individually, it gives my eyes just enough pop. They are wearable for that everyday look or deepen up the shades for an evening look.
If you don’t already own these shades in your collection, I’d highly recommend the mini Nude over the mini Star. The formulation in the mini Nude is much better than the mini Star palette. It’s also a great way to try Natasha Denona palettes if you do not want to pay a premium price on the full size palettes which run typically $129 and up.
Have you tried these Natasha Denona mini palettes? What do you think of these shades?

Both of these palettes look like they have beautiful shades in. I only own the camel palette from Natasha Denona and love it. I definitely want to add more of the 5 pan palettes into my collection, as the bigger palettes are not in my price range.

I could not justify how much the bigger palettes cost even though I had heard so many good review on them. The mini versions make it more affordable to try and I can hit pan faster than a full size palette.
I probably don’t need another neutral palette but the star palette looks so unique! Great review x
Thanks beb! Yes the market is totally saturated with eye palettes and the only differentiation will likely be shade assortment or packaging that will initiate a purchase.
