Hello Lovelys! A few weeks back I was invited to attend the Memebox Sugar High Launch Event which introduced two new peel off masks by I Dew Care, Sugar Kitten and Space Kitten. These two additions will join Disco Kitten which had launched last year. I definitely love a good face mask so I could not pass up this opportunity to check them out. In this post I will review all 3 peel off masks.
What is it
Sugar Kitten Mask is a peel-off mask infused with real ruby and pearl powder. Starts out as shimmering iridescent emerald color then transforms into a soft holographic pink upon application.
Space Kitten Mask is a charcoal, sapphire, and diamond powder infused peel-off mask shimmers with royal blue glitter for an out-of-this-world galactic black look.
Disco Kitten Mask is a gentle diamond and pearl cream based mask that changes from white to brilant chrome when applied to skin.

First off the packaging simple but cute. The colored jars matched the colored boxes. There is both English & Korean on the packaging. Sugar Kitten is marketed as a Hydrating Holographic peel off mask, Space Kitten a Exfoliating Galactic Black Charcoal peel off mask, and Disco Kitten a Illuminating Diamond peel off mask.
An inner plastic lid is provided inside the box to cover the jar once you pull back the foil seal. There is no applicator provided. The brand does have a silicone brush that you can purchase or you can use clean fingers. The texture of these masks are quite gooey and thick. Space Kitten being the most thick and Sugar Kitten most runny. Space Kitten & Disco smelled like sunscreen. At the event, Sugar Kitten smelled like elmers glue but the one that was gifted smelled like lychee candy.
The instructions say to apply a generous amount of product onto skin. I repeat DO NOT DO THIS ! At the launch event, I applied a thick layer to my skin and it took a really long time for the mask to dry, even at the 20 min mark they were still gooey. I used the silicone brush to apply the products onto face. Ummm…this brush did not spread the mask evenly and I had splotchy patches. When going back over those areas to add a bit more product, the brush actually removed the product. At that point I ditched the brush and applied using fingers. I applied a very thin layer to my face, Space Kitten in the t-zone, Disco Kitten on the cheeks, and from nose down rest of face with Sugar Kitten.
Disco Kitten looks like a tin man, Sugar Kitten looks holographic, and Space Kitten has sparkling glitter. Around the 15min mark I felt the texture of the mask was ready to peel off. The mask dried down paper thin. With one peel both Disco Kitten & Sugar Kitten came off effortlessly. Skin felt pretty cool & soft but I’m not sure if I saw brightening and I didn’t gain additional moisture. As for Space Kitten, OMG this one hurt! Owie, I had to take deep breaths and pauses in between as I was peeling. My nose area is quite sensitive and it got a nose wax from this. It pulled all my invisible baby fine hairs & impurities off my nose. The kind of feeling when you use those good o’ biore nose strips! And this was only at the 15min mark, can you imagine if I had left it on longer, I would have been breaking skin. I generally get oily in the t-zone so when I use any type of black charcoal detox mask, I only use it in this area. The rest of my face is either normal or dry. For my oily loveys who use this on their entire face, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! unless you want a face wax! The packaging noted it is meant to be used on forehead & nose. I finished up the routine by applying two layers of Glow Recipes Watermelon Sleeping Mask and hopped into bed. I did not experience any irritation from using these peeling masks.
Overall, I found all 3 peel off masks to be just okay. The end result was not really noticeable but skin did feel softer. If I had to choose, my favorite would have to be Space Kitten. I mean that ouch factor really did the job on my t-zone by pulling impurities & baby fine hairs. Disco Kitten & Sugar Kitten were just meh in my opinion but they rank high on the fun side if you want Instagrammable photo’s or a girl’s masking sleepover. I am on the fence, with alcohol listed as the number 2 and number 3 ingredient. I get that these are needed to make the mask dry & as a bonding agent but some of us may not be able to tolerate it. These contain fragrances as well. Something to consider before purchasing. Or if GlamGlow is too expensive for you, this is a budget friendly alternative. These new masks are now available online @ultabeauty and instores 2/26/18
