The first time I thought about using natural deodorants I was really hesitant to switch mainly because I had heard from others that they simply don’t work, wetness comes thru, doesn’t hide the smell, and some developed horrible rashes under their arms. Honestly, I wanted to switch because I was concerned how aluminum based compounds block your sweat ducts and prevent you from perspiring all the while studies have theorized an increased risk for breast cancer. Keep reading if you want to know more about the detox mask.

Let me just say when you start the detox phase everyone’s body will adjust differently when going natural, could take 30 days or longer. I have been using natural deodorants for at least 2 years and still find myself going thru detox on some days. Thankfully using a detox mask will speed up the process.
This Lavanila detox mask contains active charcoal, malic acid, and silica that help absorb and draw out buildup and impurities to detoxify. The mask comes in a easy to use squeeze tube with an applicator brush. As long as you put the cap back on to the tube, the brush will not dry out. I do recommend applying to clean underarms to keep the brush hygienic and free of bacteria.
You can control how much product flows up thru the brush by gently squeezing the tube. I apply a thin layer and then go brush teeth, shave my legs, and then hop into the shower to wash off. You technically only 5 minutes for it to dry and can simply wipe off with a warm wet towel.
The texture of the mask is soft and creamy. Has a slight charcoal scent. I do see my underarms looking brighter and lighter with each use. It really eliminates the oder and I find myself perspiring less. I use this once a week or every other week as an up keep maintenance. However, if you are just starting out I do recommend using two time a week until you get past the detox and then once a week for up keep.
