Kopari Tahitian Vanilla Melt is a luxuriously sweet Tahitian vanilla scented 100% organic, unrefined coconut oil and a multitasking product on so many levels. I have been a fan of their cult-favorite original Coconut Melt for years and decided to step it up with this Tahitian vanilla scent on my recent vacation to Cozumel Mexico.
It’s a simple multitasking product I can use in a number of ways on the face, hair and body and it has been a skin savior for me for post-sun exposure for moisturizing and preventing my skin from peeling during my vacation. It actually helps keep my tan looking like a nice brown vs having pink red sunburned skin since I’m naturally fair to light skin.
Let’s be clear, this is not your kitchen coconut oil from the grocery store. Tahitian Vanilla Melt is sustainably sourced from small family farms in the Philippine Islands (entirely silicone, paraben, and phthalate-free). The coconut oil is cold pressed to lock in its essential vitamins, nutrients, and fatty acids, for the freshest product possible. Contains essential fatty acids, proteins and vitamin E. Good for 12 months after opening.
Full ingredient list: Cocos Nucifera (ORGANIC Coconut) Oil
I have used the Original Coconut Melt in the full size and mini size jars. The Tahitian Vanilla Melt only comes in the full size 5.1oz / 150 mL plastic jar. It does not come in secondary paper packaging so there is no spatula included which is not a big deal but would be nice to have one for convenience. I typically use a small stainless spoon as it is more sturdy to scoop out.
I love the sweet vanilla coconut scent! Smells like a tropical vacation. The solid consistency was firm and easy to scoop out. It starts melting into a beautiful light oil when in contact with skin. Application was easy to glide on and only needed a good 5 to 10 minutes for it to completely sink in. A little goes a long ways. The sun in Mexico is intensely bright hot and this oil feels so good on after a nice shower at the end of the day.
Leaves my body feeling super hydrated, smooth, and glowy. It also soothes areas on my body where I had too much sun and preserves my skin and tan from peeling. The scent lasts for hours even after waking up in the morning. I tend to use coconut oil more during spring/summer and rich body butters in fall/winter. No sticky or greasy feeling so I can quickly put my clothes back on.
I am a huge fan of the Coconut Melts and it continues to be my favorite Kopari product for all my vacations and everyday needs when I need something more emollient to lock in moisture while giving skin a beautiful subtle glow. At the moment I can only find the Tahitian Vanilla Melt at the Kopari website while other scents can also be found at Sephora & Nordstrom.
