Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish is packaged in a 110g / 3.8 oz brown hefty plastic jar that looks like glass, included is a plastic spatula. The texture is very granular and gooey for that reason I just use a metal spoon and spoon out one small scoop. As with most face polishes, it is best to dampen skin first with water before applying this. It will allow the product to have a bit of slip for better movement and gentler exfoliation experience.
I have dry sensitive skin, so exfoliating 1 – 2x week is a must for maintaining smooth texture free skin. The granules may look chunky in the jar, but once it is in contact with skin it is actually very gentle and no scratchy feeling. Just a few minutes of massaging, sugar granules melt beautifully. I focus on areas where I have dry patches and especially my lips since they are the driest. I also did not notice any synthetic fragrances which is good.
Using this on the weekends for a pampering selfcare treat or on a day where I have on a full face of makeup, makes my skin feel extra smooth and soft. My skin feels hydrated and brighter looking. There is a healthy glow to my complexion. Rinses off easily with warm water and there is no film or residue on skin. Overall, if you want to keep your skin texture free I highly recommend this polish.
