Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is one of those cleansers that can remove a full face of makeup and unclog a day’s worth of sunscreen at one go. That means in my double cleanse routine, I can use less product in my follow up second cleanse. Those with dry, dehydrated to sensitive skin would enjoy this cleanser. Klairs is one of my favorite Korean skincare brands and their formulations are mostly clean and effective.
What makes this cleanser effective is the formulation of three natural oils: black bean with regulating oil control and soothing, black sesame with antioxidant benefits, and black currant with vitamin rich anti-inflammatory properties.

Very easy to use plastic bottle with pump dispenser. One pump is enough to spread all over face and the texture has a very liquidy consistency. There is a lemony scent that I find refreshing but if you have fragrance sensitivities just note there is added fragrance in this cleansing oil. I like massaging this for a few minutes like a facial. With a bit of water added it emulsifies nicely breaking down all makeup and sunscreen.
This did a great job at removing everything and my face felt super clean. I typically follow up with a second cleanse to ensure my face is completely clean. For single cleansing routine, if you use too much cleansing oil it will leave an oily residue on skin after rinsing. Best is to use one pump first and add more if you need more.
It was gentle on my sensitive skin and doesn’t dry out my face. For the most part this cleansing oil did the job in the first cleanse step. If you are looking for an easy to use cleansing oil that breaks down oil, makeup, and sunscreen this would be a good option to include in your routine.

i always use either innisfree or banila co oils!
The Banila Co cleansing oils are my staples too!
