Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum is packaged in a 30mL / 1.01 oz opaque plastic airless pump bottle. This type of packaging will help the vitamin C derivative last longer and slow down the oxidation process by shielding the product from light, heat, and limiting exposure/contact to air. Typically vitamin c products go bad if it starts smelling rancid and product changes to a yellow/brown color. Be sure to check the POA date.
After cleansing, toner, essence, I use 2 pumps for entire face and follow up with a moisturizer to seal it in. This has a clear watery gel-like consistency and goes on lightweight. The water-based formula absorbed very quickly without any sticky residue finish and felt an immediate boost of hydration. Gives the look of freshness and subtle glow to my complexion. Dewy at first, then dries down like there is nothing on skin. With consistent use has improved texture and reduced blemishes.
My skin is very picky with anything containing vitamin C. This one has not caused any irritation. I incorporate vitamin C slowly into my skincare routine, 1-2x a week then increase every other day. I do a “sandwich method” by layering a toner/essence to skin before the vitamin c serum, then after with a layer of moisturizer. The benefits of this method for my dry sensitive skin is to allow the active ingredient to be deeply absorbed while locking in the hydration. A suitable option if you have sensitive skin like me.
