Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream is great for comforting dry, sensitive, troubled skin. I have used this cream on and off in the last few years and it has been a life saver in soothing and repairing my dry skin. Most people think if your skin is super dry you need to slap on a thick heavy cream. In most cases, I find doing that makes my skin feel very uncomfortable and often times my skin feels like it is suffocating underneath.

This goat milk cream has a lotion liquid like consistency. Easy to spread out and applies smoothly. It is incredibly moisturizing while being very light weight. My skin does not feel suffocated. It absorbs fairly quickly once product is all rubbed in and does not leave any oily feeling. Unlike other moisturizing face creams where I apply all over face, this one I only apply to dry sensitive parts of my face and body.

In times where my eczema has flared up, this cream has been amazing in improving skin texture and soothing the urge to itch and scratch. With the goat milk cream is seems to balance my skin’s pH levels while providing the right amount of moisture. Most creams targeted for eczema tend to be thick and makes my skin worse because skin is not able to breath.

Goat milk is effective on skin and works on all skin types. Benefits include boosting moisture, repairing skin barrier, nourishes & balances skin pH, and helps with those with skin conditions. Goat milk is full of vitamins, minerals, goat fat, and antioxidant properties. All of which to help moisturize, soothe, and enhance skin elasticity.

If you have ever drank goat milk you know it has a very strong smell and distinctive taste. This cream has a slight goat milk scent but nothing overwhelming. The scent doe not linger long on skin and I hardly notice it.

I can control how much product comes out of this jar by how much pressure I am applying to the pump. I like the easy to use center dispensing making it hygiene friendly but I don’t think the packaging is recyclable. I hope the brand will look into new packaging that is also friendly for the environment.
