Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation just might be my new holy grail for its lightweight formula, buildable coverage, and flawless effortless look. I’ve been a loyal fan of Hourglass primers and powders so I had very high expectations for this foundation. Girl let me tell you this foundation did not disappoint me one bit. I’ve been using this for several months now and one of the biggest impressions I had was the beautiful second-skin finish.
This foundation is formulated with light diffusing pigments, blurring spheres, & white tea extract. Softens the look of skin imperfections, minimizes pores, lightweight blendable formula, and long wearing coverage that stays in place. Free of alcohol, parabens, talc, gluten. Vegan. Cruelty-free. Available in 32 shades. My complexion is light so I’ve been using shade 4 light with warm undertone.

Ambient Soft Glow Foundation is packaged in a 1 fl oz / 30 mL glass bottle with pump dispenser. There is no weird smell which is a plus. Light to medium viscosity so its not runny and its not thick either. Coverage is medium and very buildable if you need more. Application works best with a makeup brush instead of a sponge. Blends out easily, feels light and breathable on skin, and my complexion looked airbrushed. 1 pump goes along ways on my skin.
Wears very well and does not oxidize. Honestly, stays all day and doesn’t move. During the day there is very little separation in the common areas like corners around the nose and mouth which can be fixed by patting it with blotting papers or dry beauty blender sponge. I don’t really use setting powders so I am very impressed that I didn’t get creasing under my eyes.
I have dry sensitive skin and this foundation did not accentuate dryness and kept my skin looking dewy fresh. This delivers a semi-matte natural finish which I really like. It brings just the right amount of glow to the skin without the shimmers and shine. A really good option for weddings or special event if you want something that stays on all night. This is definitely a repurchase foundation for me.
