Good Molecules Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer has literally grown on me. I was pr gifted with this primer by Good Molecules and have been using it ever since. This brand has really impressed me and I’ve enjoyed several other products from their skincare collection. What stands out the most for me with this primer is that it is very hydrating and smoothing, doesn’t leave behind a greasy feel.
Formulated with macadamia seed oil, shea butter and a plant-based naturally derived silicone alternative. These work to strengthen, nourish, and deliver moisture for a well prep canvas before makeup application.
Love the vacuum pump bottle packaging. The pump dispenser has a nice pressure and doesn’t get clogged. With a frosted transparent bottle I can actually see how much product I have left. With other brands I have to break open the bottle or cut tubes in half to see what I have left.
The lotion like texture reminded me of when I used to use Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer in the silver gray tube. I like how the hydrating formula was able to sink into my skin and moisturize all the dryness. Since this does not contain silicone I feel my fine lines are plumped up and filled in. The lightweight texture feels breathable on my skin so I don’t feel like I am wearing a mask. Another good thing is that this is fragrance free!
It leaves my face soft, smooth, and very hydrated. I have normal to dry sensitive skin and this did not clog my pores and did not make my skin shiny. I let the primer soak in for a few minutes before applying spf + foundation. Keeps my face hydrated all day and I didn’t feel like my foundation was eating up the moisture. No caking or makeup slipping.
I have been transitioning to clean skincare and try to use products that are free of silicones and dimethicones. This primer absorbs and creates a nice canvas amazingly well because it is silicone-free. It’s hard to find a primer that works well without silicones but this one does the job and it is priced affordably. I highly recommend this product.
