Good Molecules Pineapple Exfoliating Powder is a good alternative to chemical exfoliating acids if your skin is sensitive or if you do not need something too strong to remove texture from skin. I was generously gifted a pr package of this powder a few months ago and wanted to share how much I enjoyed using it.
It is combination of a physical & chemical exfoliant. Formulated with fruit enzymes, vitamin C, rice powder, and calamine powder to soften, brighten, and gently exfoliate. The fruit enzymes contain bromelain which create an enzymatic reaction to gently break down dead skin. This powder is not vegan since it contains silk powder however the brand is cruelty-free.
This powder is housed in a heavy weight glass bottle. Pour a dime size amount of powder and add a few drops of water. Use hands to lather it up into a creamy foamy lather. To be quite honest, the powder never completely dissolves as there are clumpy bits in the lather. The bits do not bother me and I don’t really feel them as I am massaging my face. It feels very gentle on skin since there are no microbeads or grains in this.
I can feel the lather buffing away dead skin textures without applying too much pressure to face. If I want a deeper exfoliation I add less water so the lather becomes a thicker paste. Rinses away easily and leaves my skin soft, smooth, and brighter. My complexion looks healthy. There is no tightness or dry feeling on skin. It works just as effectively as my more expensive exfoliating powders from Tatcha and Amore Pacific.
Since the consistency has a creamy foaming lather it does not feel like the typical once a week exfoliator. I use this every other day to keep my face texture free but since it is pretty gentle I could technically use it daily if I wanted to. I have normal to dry sensitive skin and this powder did not cause my skin to be red or irritated.
No fragrance or scent in this powder, just the natural ingredients. A little bit goes a long ways so this bottle will last you for a while. If you are looking for a gentle exfoliator this one fits the bill and it is very affordable in comparison to other expensive brands on the market.
