Fresh Rose Floral Toner has been a staple in my skincare routine. This can be used as a toner or as face mist. It is hard to find a skin hydrating mist that is alcohol-free because most of the ones I have tried on the market contain high amounts of some form of alcohol or alcohol denat. My skin is sensitive and reacts horribly by experiencing a break out or dried out uneven skin texture.
The same goes for the rose scent. Most rose toner mists are overly fragranced, all I smell is the perfume on my face. Sometimes the scent is too heavy and gives me a headache. I think some brands are trying too hard by adding additional fragrances when rose water, rose petal extracts, rose oils is technically sufficient.
Thankfully, the Fresh Rose Floral Toner is alcohol-free and contains mostly water, rose water, and oils. It feels very gentle on my sensitive skin and has a nice natural light rose scent. I use this mostly as a hydration mist although I can use this as a toner on freshly cleansed skin. However, I use a different product specifically as a toner.
I especially like that this mist feels as though I am spraying water on my face. It might feel like water that is absorbed into skin but at least it contains calming and hydrating benefits. Keeps my skin refreshed throughout the day when it is feeling a little dry or if I need to soften a freshly powdered face. This does not leave behind any sticky film nor does it make my face look super dewy looking.
The packaging could use a little rework. I like the frosted aesthetic shape of the bottle but the spray nozzle can spray aggressively instead of a fine mist. I had a few mishaps where I was spattered in the face while wearing makeup. If I was bare faced it wouldn’t have mattered much but I had to fix my makeup. Sometimes I pour some of the toner into one of those perfume travel size atomizers or a small spray bottle that produces a fine mist.
A regular size bottle of this will last me for several months. I also have the mini size that I keep in my purse and often refill from the regular size when I run out. The mini size is a great option if you want to try this out without spending a lot of money or if you want to test it out. A good option for those with sensitive skin in setting makeup or refreshing skin.
