The Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner is perfect for dehydrated skin. I typically look for alcohol-free hydrating toners since my skin is sensitive. If you have dry and/or sensitive skin, this toner is very gentle and non-irritating. There is no burning or tingling sensation. It contains rose fruit extract for toning, rosewater to soothe and nourish, and angelica leaf extract to maintain moisture.
Full ingredient list: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Rosa Centifolia Flower, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Rosa Multiflora Fruit Extract, Angelica Keiskei Extract, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-150, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, BHT, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Citronellol, Geraniol.
The bottle is very pretty especially with the floating rose petals. You have to give it a good shake since the petals can sometimes block the opening. Depending on my mood, I pour this directly onto skin or use thin cotton pads to apply. It has a beautiful light rose scent. There is added perfume in this incase you have fragrance sensitivities. I hope the brand can remove the perfume since the real rose petals can stand alone by itself.
It feels very light and absorbs fairly quickly. I like how it sinks into skin instead on sitting on top. Gives my skin an extra boost of moisture. I don’t have issues with enlarged pores but I like how it keeps my complexion clear. With regular use it improves my skin texture so dry patches don’t build up. I make sure to follow up with serums and moisturizers to keep skin hydrated. I use this in the evening, but you can use it twice a day.
The addition of a toner in my skincare routine really helps to balance out my pH levels and provides a good layer of hydration. I always include this step but you could skip this step and go right into your serums and moisturizers. It’s definitely an splurge item. For the price point it is not necessary, there are more affordable options for alcohol-free toners in the market.
