The Fenty Beauty Flyliner has quickly become my favorite liquid eyeliner. If you wear liquid eyeliners you must give this a try. I love how Rihanna puts so much of her style & personality in everything she does, including the branding of Fenty Beauty. It definitely shows when you are using this eyeliner. When it comes to liquid eyeliners, I get really picky about it. Most liquid eyeliners I have used contain a high percentage of alcohol or water-proof ingredient that cause an allergic reaction on my skin where I used the eyeliner. The Flyliner packaging is absolutely gorgeous. Love the purple holographic iridescent shine on the pen. Has a very classy look. From a distance the pen looks like it was made of sturdy metal but it’s actually plastic and very light weight. Even the construction of the pen is shaped like a triangle! The triangle shape fits my hand/fingers better allowing me to have better control of the application.
Wow the tip of this eyeliner is incredible. It’s thin and a tad longer than KVD Tattoo liner. The tip is made of felt and is flexible with a bit of stiffness to it making it easy to draw a line in one swoop. Glides comfortably across my eyelids without any scratching. This Flyliner is in the shade black and it’s named “Cuz I’m Black”. This goes back to 2011 when a person on Twitter tweeted a racist comment at Rihanna about her hair: “Why does her hair look so nappy?” Rihanna replied, “Cuz I’m black bitch!!”
The texture of the liner is a bit watery. Before each use I shake the pen for about 10 seconds before application. The color is definitely an opaque black and I rarely have to re-trace over the line. It dries fairly quickly, so I have to make sure I know where I am laying the ink. It leaves a satin finish that is not too shiny. I prefer matte finishes but this Flyliner is close enough. The best part of this eyeliner is that it does not move, smear, or come off till you remove it off. Very impressed after wearing this for a whole day, it looks just as good as when I applied it in the morning. Comes off easily with an oil based cleanser.
The Fenty Flyliner has become my new favorite liquid eyeliner. I am used to paying over $30+USD for higher end brands. So glad this eyeliner has a competitive price point making it affordable for me to re-purchase. I hope Rihanna expands the Flyliner to include more colors.
