Farmacy is one of my favorite clean skincare brands. More and more of their products are making their way into my skincare routine. I love using facial oils in the evening, especially when my skin is feeling dull or dehydrated. It eliminates all the dry patches and smoothes out the texture in my skin. The Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm is meant to be used at night since it is a bit greasy but you can certainly use it as an spot treatment instead of applying all over to face.
This lightweight balm helps to moisturize, firm, tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while you sleep. Contains their signature ingredient Echinacea GreenEnvy which helps with firming the skin. High concentrations of cichoric acid evens out skin complexion while reducing redness. Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehyde and artificial coloring
I like how this comes in a glass jar with wooden screw cap. There is no scoop or applicator included but I can randomly use one from my stash of applicators. Has a gelatinous solid texture which makes it very travel friendly without any leaking. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering, a bit on the herbal side.
A pea size scoop is more than enough to cover face. I warm the product between my fingers and dot onto face. The balm melts into oil immediately upon contact and massages easily into skin. The balm is not heavy and most of the product gets absorbed however a greasy layer does exist on the surface. I only use this at night before bed to let it really soak in.
I have to be very careful when I sleep to not get the product all over my pillows & sheets. Another thing I do is leave the balm on my face for an hour or two . Right before bed I get a hot towel and apply to face letting the steam penetrate the oils into the skin. It also feels very comforting like as though I am at the spa. Finally wipe off the excess oils before jumping into bed.
In the morning the balm has absorbed into my skin. After a quick wash, face feels soft, smooth, and super hydrated. This balm makes my complexion look healthy and nourished. I have yet to see firming effects though. Overall, I treat this like an overnight face oil, heavy night cream, or mask. I do this routine maybe once or twice a week as a self care treatment.
Farmacy Sleep Tight is available at Sephora & Farmacy site $48USD/1.7oz
