Farmacy Clear Bloom cleansing oil was the predecessor cleanser in their skincare line up long before Green Clean cleansing balm took the spot light. Depending on my mood, I use the cleansing oil and the balm interchangeably. I like cleansing oils because it hugs my skin really well. This cleansing oil contains their patent pending EchinaceaGreenEnvy, that is rich in antioxidants. There is a slight learning curve on using this opposed to your traditional cleansing oil, but once I got the hang of it I enjoy using it. If you want to hear more, keep on reading.

The packaging of the bottle looks very clean and natural looking. It comes in a sturdy heavy weight glass bottle with pump. I like that it has a pump making it hygienic friendly however the pump does not have any way of locking itself other than the little plastic guard that is inserted into the neck of the pump. Good thing about glass is that I don’t have to worry about product leaching into plastic. I do have to be extra careful to not drop this bottle on the bathroom floor or in my bath tub. The bottle itself is definitely not travel friendly. That’s when I use Green Clean Cleansing Balm since it is in solid form & mess free for travel.
This oil has a light herbal scent upon application and does not linger. It has a incredibly thin consistency and feels very light weight. I usually do 2 pumps of this oil since I wear a full face of makeup including black eyeliner. It removes all of my makeup without leaving behind any residual. Skin did not feel stripped of moisture.
Most cleansing oils I have used get thinner and milky the more water you add to it. With Clear Bloom, instructions say add water to the oil, then massage on to face. With this method, the more you massage the more the oil turns into a gooey cream paste. It pretty much created some resistance making it difficult to massage on skin.
I personally found this worked best for me when I applied the oil with dry hands directly on to dry face. As I massaged the oil to loosen up makeup, I would splash some water on to skin to give it some slip and for the oil to emulsify. This actually made the oil easier to work with.
This cleansing oil is packed with Safflower Oil which helps remove makeup, Sunflower Oil to hydrate & repair skin with essential fatty acids, and Echinacea GreenEnvy to promote an evenly toned complexion. I use this interchangeably with the Green Clean cleansing balm dependent on my mood. It’s a good cleansing oil that took a little practice in learning how to use. It’s super gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated.
