Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream was the last moisturizer added to their skincare line up. I am already a big fan of B-Hydra a lightweight hydrating gel which the brand had recently renamed to serum and Lala Retro a decadent whipped rich cream. Protini goes further to strengthen and restore skin with peptides and amino acids. It’s like giving your skin a shot of protein boost.

What is it
Protini is a hydrating protein moisturizer combined with nine different peptides, supportive amino acids and pygmy waterlily. Visible and immediate improvement in the appearance of skin’s tone, texture and firmness.

Claims
A boost of protein shot to your skin. Abundant of proteins and nutrients, it replenishes and restores your skin back to a strong, healthy state. Keeps skin firm and plump.

I love Drunk Elephant’s airless pump packaging. It is virtually used across their skincare line in a majority of their packaging. Essentially, every last drop of product gets squeezed out and nothing gets wasted. Plus, it dispenses just the right amount of product which is very helpful for portioning (this cream is not cheap) and keeping the formula hygienic.

This cream is made for all skin types. I have normal to dry sensitive skin and it has not irritated my skin one bit. It’s lightweight gel cream texture makes it absolutely perfect to wear as a day time moisturizer under my makeup. It’s silkiness glides on with ease and sinks into my skin effectively. The cream itself literally fills in the tiny fine lines and dryness around my face. The results are immediate, my skin is instantly pump!

Protini is great when used on it’s own, but in the evening I sometimes mix a bit of other Drunk Elephant products to get an extra shot of hydration as I sleep thru the night. It is hydrating enough for warm summer weather without being greasy or heavy on my skin. During winter nights my skin needs more, I tend to reach for Lala Retro Cream instead since it is a bit heavier and richer.

This protein nutrient rich cream contains 9 signal peptides which are made up of amino acids that form proteins in the skin and bind moisture to plump, firm, restore bounce to skin’s appearance. Pygmy waterlily stem cell extract provides antioxidants to replenish the skin and soybean folic acid ferment extract a vitamin b builds elasticity.

Overall, I love using the Protini Polypeptide cream. Drunk Elephant is a skincare brand that I keep returning to due to all the positive experiences I’ve had with their products. My little DE collection is slowly growing and Protini is worth the investment. Love how it moisturizers my skin well and gives my skin that firm plump feeling. Absorbs quickly without looking greasy. If you looking to spend a little extra for a better skincare that uses clean ingredients, a hydrating lightweight moisturizer, skin firming, collagen boosting support, do give Protini a try.
