Seriously Baja Bae is the only thing product you need this summer to get that gorgeous glow. The only time I get a real tan is during Spring/Summer. Mostly due to hitting the beaches or traveling for vacation. Otherwise, during the off season I generally self tan. Honestly, there are so many brands cranking out new formulations of tanning, self tanning, illuminator/glow oils that it can be overwhelming. Luckily I heard many good things about the BB Caramel Lotion on blogs/Instagram that I ordered it directly from their site for my Mexico vacation to see if the hype was real.
So who and what is BB Caramel Lotion? Well it’s a 2-in-1 lotion that works as a tanning accelerant lotion that bronzes your skin darker, deeper and faster while you are in the sun. It gives your skin that natural glowing tan. It can also be applied as an everyday tinted moisturizer to give your face and body that golden sun kissed glow.
BB Caramel Lotion is made with premium ingredients (i.e all natural caramel, hibiscus oil, mexican vanilla essence, coconut oil) that enhance the tanning process. This also contains antioxidants that provide anti-aging skin benefits by nourishing your skin and helps fight scarring & stretch marks. BB Caramel Lotion is made in the USA, vegan, and cruelty-free.
I was traveling to Mexico with just a carry-on suitcase so I made sure to decant this lotion into an empty 3 oz plastic bottle with pump to ensure it was TSA approved. This smells heavenly! I am obsessed with the smell of caramel, vanilla, and coconut. Having worn it for atleast 8 hours I can still smell it on my body, not as strong as when I initially applied but the scent did continue to linger. I didn’t even need to put perfume on.
The texture is similar to that of a lotion. Seriously, this is like liquid gold. At first I got a bit scared seeing how dark the lotion was considering I was super pale. After applying, it gave my skin a very nice tinted glow. The application went on flawlessly and super easy to apply all over body without any streaking. It dries down completely so there was no sticky feeling on my skin.
I noticed a big difference with just one use. Made my skin feel soft and I got a beautiful warm caramel glow. I applied once a day while I was on my vacation. I had no tan lines prior to my vacation but you can clearly see in the photo the tan line on my wrist where I was wearing my FitBit band. Sorry my arm may look a bit dry, I forgot to put lotion on before snapping the photo. I am very happy with the results and amazed at how quickly I was able to build up my tan within a few days.
This is my favorite sun tanning lotion by far and will continue to use this summer. Note, BB Caramel Lotion does not contain SPF so make sure you protect your skin from the sun. When I was laying out on the beach lounges, I made sure to spray my body with SPF 30 after I had all the lotion all rubbed in.
Baja Bae Caramel Lotion is available at Baja Bae, Urban Outfitters, and Amazon | $29 USD 6.8 oz
